It’s not hard to tell that summer is in full swing. Giant inflatable flamingos, flowing fruity cocktails and of course – the super fun, happy and bright nails that are getting around. From bright corals to ocean blue hues, there has never been so many summerly shades to choose from. So here are our favourite top five Australian nail polish brands and their summerly shade that we are currently coveting.
MISS FRANKIE
Miss Frankie has really established itself as one of the top choice for us Aussie ladies. Not only do they have a fantastic range of colours, but their products are all plant based, breathable, vegan and cruelty free. Australian owned and made with all natural ingredients including a special protector that will make your nails chip resistant (should you so happen to be pushed off your inflatable flamingo). We love Miss Frankie’s Did you say Prosecco? shade – a pink-coral colour that will accentuate your Strawberry Daiquiri when you are poolside.
NAILD AT TIFFANYS
Naild at Tiffanys launched in 2017 by Perth based beauty therapist, Tiffany. Since then she has grown her stunning collection to thirty shades and all of them are inspired by moments in her everyday life. Australian made with no nasties, Naild at Tiffanys are a sustainable brand that are designed to bring joy and happiness into the world. We love Lemonicious – a lemony yellow crème – the very shade of a highly prized lemon from the Amalfi Coast. Summerly, indeed.
PICTURE POLISH
Picture Polish is another Australian made and owned nail polish range that is both vegan and sustainable. What is not to love? The range not only has base and top coats with its classic colours but also has nail art tools and stamping accessories for those who want to stretch the creativity even further. This range has been created by two Aussie Sisters who claim that each bottle of their nail polish has its own unique personality – and we totally agree. We love Picture Polish’s Sunset shade – a coral neon crème colour that will be turning heads from all directions on the beach.
SIENNA
First launched in 2013 by Danielle Egan, she envisioned the Sienna to be a luxury quality nail polish that would be sustainably and ethically produced – and she has done just that. Living the dream in Byron Bay, Sienna has now grown to over 30 shades with more being added every season. We love the Wategos shade, a pastel blue crème – inspired by everyone’s favourite luxury seaside retreat located in the heart of Byron Bay.
GLOSS AND CO
Gloss and Co is another fabulous brand that made its debut on the market in 2015. Simone, the founder of the brand admirably ditched the corporate world and started creating the glossiest nail polishes in town. Made in Australia, Gloss and Co is toxin free, cruelty free, animal product free and and nail chippin’ free. We love the Summer Days Bundle with 5 shades – the hot pink Date Night, the neon pink Grenadine, the shimmery Snow Blossom, the neon x pastel peach Summer Pout and a personal favourite Sunsickle, a shimmery summery shade that will inspire you to be the best version of yourself always.
